Comfortable Living
In The Town of Lakeside
Town of Lakeside is a residential town located in the northwest corner of Tarrant County, Texas. We are approximately 2,260 residents. We are very close to Fort Worth city. Our town was created in 1958.
Mrs. McCrory, owner of Tex Trinity Electric, has a pending conditional contract to purchase commercial property located at 8305 Jacksboro Hwy, formerly known as Larry’s Carpet, for use as the headquarters (offices, sales, operations, dispatch, and rolling inventory) for Tex Trinity Electric, an electrical contractor. The portion of the rolling inventory is proposed to be stored outside behind a fenced area. The outside storage is proposed to be located behind the existing building.
Chapter 151.012 of the Town of Lakeside permitted use table allows Contractor, outside storage with a specific use permit, providing Chapter 151.013 b, g, k and m are met.
b) A site plan;
g) All outdoor lighting, including parking lot lighting, shall be directed away from any property zoned or developed for residential use;
k) Shall not be used for the storage of wrecked vehicles, or the dismantling of vehicles, or the storage of vehicle parts;
m) All equipment shall be stored and displayed on a hard weather surface.
Staff reviewed the specific use permit application and found all conditions have been or will comply with Lakeside Town Ordinances and recommends approval. Chapter 151.022 requires all allowed uses with specific permit to be forwarded to the City Council for approval after proper notifications and a public hearing.
The specific use permit is scheduled for a public hearing and discussion on Thursday August 14, 2025, at 6:30 pm.
